Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative process where you work with a trained, objective professional to explore what's going on in your life. It can focus on one specific issue or take a more holistic view of your emotional wellbeing. Therapy requires active participation—and it can be a powerful tool for insight, relief, and change.

What will my first session look like?
The first session is about getting to know each other. You’ll share what’s bringing you in, and I’ll ask questions to help us both understand your needs. We’ll discuss goals and explore what working together might look like.
-
How long is a session?
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes. We’ll find a frequency that works best for your needs.
-
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept many insurance plans. You’ll be able to upload a photo of your insurance card on the contact page to verify your coverage.
-
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
-
Do you offer a consultation prior to booking a session?
Yes! We offer a complimentary consultation call before scheduling your first session. This gives us a chance to learn more about your needs, answer any questions you have about therapy, and ensure that we’re a good fit to work together. It’s a low-pressure way for you to get a feel for the process before making a commitment.
